  - one of the northern Gold Coast's most extraordinary and ecologically si
gnificant natural areas.\nLocated on Kombumerri Country on the northern Go
ld Coast\, Pine Ridge Conservation Park is a true hidden gem. Home to the
largest patch of remnant wallum heathland on the Gold Coast mainland\, the
park bursts into life each spring with a spectacular display of wildflowe
rs. Year-round\, visitors can admire ancient old-growth banksias\, wander
through tea-tree swamps\, and keep an eye out for koalas in the eucalypt f
orest. Pine Ridge Conservation Park is also the only place on the northern
Gold Coast mainland where threatened flora such as Christmas bells still
grow in the wild - making the protection and restoration of this remarkabl
e conservation park more important than ever.\nAfter a period focused on k
oala habitat planting\, Friends of Pine Ridge Conservation Park are back u
nder new leadership and relaunching their monthly conservation events. Led
by group leader Mitch Parker\, the group will meet monthly for hands-on e
cological restoration\, with a focus on planting maintenance and protectin
g the rich biodiversity of Pine Ridge's established vegetation.\nAll are w
elcome - new and experienced volunteers alike. No prior experience is nece
ssary. This event is suitable for ages 16+\, and children must be accompan
ied by a parent or guardian.\n\nLearn more about Friends of Pine Ridge Con
