That's the idea behind the Monitoring &\; Maintena nce Crew - or the M&\;M Crew - a dedicated monthly weekday morning meet up focused on tracking the long-term success of habitat restoration effort s at Springbrook National Park.\nAt the heart of the M&\;M Crew's work is the Carricks Creek restoration site\, where volunteers monitor the surv ival and growth of native trees planted at previous conservation events\, track weed regrowth\, and conduct bird surveys to gauge ecosystem health. Birds are powerful indicators of how well a habitat is recovering - and by monitoring bird activity across restoration and remnant sites over time\, the group is building a picture of how Springbrook's ecosystems are respo nding to community-led conservation efforts.\nWhether you're a birdwatcher \, a bushcare enthusiast\, a citizen science lover\, or simply passionate about protecting Springbrook National Park's world-heritage-listed environ ment\, the M&\;M Crew offers a meaningful and low-intensity way to cont ribute to long-term conservation in one of Queensland's most ecologically significant landscapes.\nAll experience levels are welcome.
