Moreton Bay Volunteer Event – D’Aguilar National Park Habitat Restoration

Moreton Bay Volunteer Event - D'Aguilar National Park Habitat Restoration

Moreton Bay Volunteer Event – D’Aguilar National Park Habitat Restoration

Invasive weeds are one of the biggest threats facing D’Aguilar National Park, quietly crowding out native plants, disrupting the understorey, and squeezing the wildlife that depend on it. But they’re not unstoppable. Every volunteer who shows up makes a real, visible difference to this important Brisbane bushland.

On this monthly conservation working bee, you’ll join a passionate crew of local volunteers tackling invasive species hands-on in D’Aguilar National Park, clearing the way for native bush to reclaim its ground and restoring vital wildlife habitat in one of South East Queensland’s most significant national parks. Whether it’s your first time volunteering or you’re a seasoned bushcare regular, you’ll leave knowing the park is a little healthier because you were there.

Spanning over 37,000 hectares of native bushland on Brisbane’s northern fringe, D’Aguilar National Park is a haven for native wildlife, rare plant species, and biodiversity in the heart of South East Queensland. Protecting and restoring this landscape through community-led habitat restoration is at the core of what Friends of D’Aguilar National Park does.

No prior experience is necessary – all training and tools are provided on the day. Perfect for Brisbane nature lovers, bushcare volunteers, students, families, and anyone passionate about wildlife conservation and protecting Queensland’s natural environment. These events are best suited for ages 16+, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
