Join Friends of the Cedars for a hands-on conservation volunteering event in D’Aguilar National Park in the Somerset region and help protect and restore one of South East Queensland’s most significant bushland areas.
Nestled within D’Aguilar National Park in the Somerset region, the Cedars restoration site is a hidden treasure of South East Queensland’s largest national park. D’Aguilar National Park spans over 37,000 hectares of native bushland on Brisbane’s northern fringe, protecting an extraordinary diversity of native wildlife, rare plant species, and important wildlife habitat for the region.
Meeting on the last Saturday of every month, Friends of the Cedars are a passionate community volunteer group dedicated to protecting and restoring this special corner of D’Aguilar National Park through practical, hands-on conservation work. Volunteers will help care for and restore the Cedars restoration site through practical environmental work, making a real and lasting difference for one of South East Queensland’s most significant bushland areas.
All are welcome. No prior experience is required.
