Habitat restoration events are your opportunity to improve the homes of wildlife by removing invasive flora (weeds), or planting native vegetation. The biggest threat to our biodiversity in protected areas are weeds, so most habitat restoration events are focused on removing invasive species, rather than planting natives. These events have the highest, direct positive impact on our environment and are a great way to learn more about our wildlife and wild places while connecting with like-minded people. A moderate level of physical fitness is usually required.
