Sunshine Coast Volunteer Event – Dularcha National Park Habitat Restoration
Join Friends of Dularcha National Park for a hands-on habitat restoration volunteering event in Dularcha National Park.
Nestled in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Dularcha National Park protects a diverse landscape of eucalypt forest, rainforest pockets, and important wildlife habitat, while also preserving the heritage-listed Dularcha railway tunnel. The park provides refuge for native flora and fauna and plays an important role in conserving biodiversity within the region. Ongoing restoration work is essential to manage invasive weeds, improve habitat health, and protect the park’s natural and cultural values.
These monthly volunteer-led conservation events bring the community together to help restore and care for the park through practical environmental activities. Volunteers may assist with weed control, native planting, bush regeneration, track maintenance, and habitat restoration projects that support local wildlife and ecosystem health.
Perfect for nature lovers, bushcare volunteers, conservation students, families, and anyone passionate about protecting Queensland’s natural environment, Friends of Dularcha National Park offers a rewarding opportunity to gain practical conservation experience, connect with like-minded people, and help care for one of the Sunshine Coast’s treasured national parks.
New and experienced volunteers are welcome. A moderate level of fitness is recommended. This event is suitable for ages 16+.
