Gold Coast Volunteer Event – Burleigh Knoll Conservation Park Habitat Restoration
Join a hands-on conservation volunteer event on the Gold Coast with Friends of Burleigh Knoll Conservation Park. Help restore natural habitat by removing invasive weeds and supporting the park’s rich biodiversity.
Located on Kombumerri Country, Burleigh Knoll Conservation Park is a small oasis in the middle of Burleigh Waters. Originally preserved with the intention of representing the natural environment that was once widespread across the region, this island contains a handful of interesting plants – some found nowhere else on the Gold Coast – amongst extremely old, large hollow-bearing trees.
Their monthly environmental volunteering opportunities are perfect for anyone looking to give back to nature. These events are led by Chris, who works as a professional bush regenerator. Here, you can learn from industry experts while giving back to this very special place that very few people know about!
New and experienced volunteers are welcome. A moderate level of fitness is recommended. This event is suitable for ages 16+, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
