Description

Located north of the Queensland and New South Wales border, tucked into the south-east of South East Queensland is the Gold Coast. Known for its high rise buildings, expansive beaches, and scenic hinterland, the Gold Coast is home to World Heritage listed Gondwana rainforests, eucalyptus forests, coastal rainforest, heathland, and more. There are over 30 protected areas (national parks, conservation parks) on the Gold Coast, and very active communities connected to over a quarter of these areas.
