Gold Coast Training Event – Threatened Flora Survey Training
Join the Queensland Threatened Plant Network, Friends of Parks Queensland, and Friends of Burleigh Knoll Conservation Park for a hands-on Threatened Flora Survey Training Session on the southern Gold Coast.
Discover how to identify and protect Queensland’s rare and endangered native plants, with expert-led training focused on threatened flora conservation and field survey techniques. Queensland is home to more than 1,000 threatened plant species, making flora monitoring and habitat protection more important than ever.
This practical workshop combines classroom learning with real-world experience. Participants will gain an introduction to threatened plant identification, learn the fundamentals of flora survey methods, and apply their new skills during a guided field session at Burleigh Knoll Conservation Park.
Designed for participants with moderate plant identification skills — or anyone passionate about native plant conservation, biodiversity protection, and ecological fieldwork — this training session is an excellent opportunity to build practical conservation skills while contributing to the protection of Queensland’s threatened flora.
